District-Wide NSBE Jr. Membership

The National Society of Black Engineers, or NSBE, is the largest student-governed society. Established in 1975, the mission of NSBE is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. NSBE has over 16,000 worldwide members representing over 500 chapters for Pre-College, Collegiate, and Professional divisions.

The District-Wide NSBE Jr. Program in Atlanta is a unique in that it is offered by the Atlanta Professionals Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers and serves students from 3rd-12th grade.


About the NSBE Jr. Program

The District-Wide NSBE Jr. Program features a 2-hour event occuring one Saturday each month. The 2-hour time block is divided into two main programs:

STEM/Academic Enrichment (up to 1 hour)
Each hands-on STEM activity is focused on a different branch of engineering and features an engaging project.

Career/Character/College Preparedness (3 C’s) and Leadership (up to 1 hour)
Students will be exposed to personal and professional development with NSBE’s unique leadership model
